- Historical alerts - historical alerts provide information on prior Smart Alerts.
Here are the different Smart Alert statuses:
Reinstatement - Manufacturer has re-started production for a previously discontinued part. May alter previous action taken or action in-work with regard to efforts to find a replacement for the previously discontinued part.
& GIDEP - Manufacturer issued a PCN or GIDEP has issued an Smart Alert. Requires user attention as specific design information regarding a part may have changed.
Manufacturer announcement of part discontinuance with a specified amount of time to purchase - Part availability status went from a confirmed status to an unconfirmed status. These parts require attention as the clock is ticking on their availability.
Manufacturer part discontinuance - The matched manufacturer part is no longer available from the manufacturer. Immediate action may be required to identify substitute sources or alternate replacement parts.
Distributors
Pricing and Availability - The number of available distributors including part stock on hand and pricing details. The average price of the part is listed in US dollars, above the distributor listings data grid, along with Average Lead Time, Inventory Available and Total Inventory, which are calculated based on the data available from all authorized distributors. An Authorized Distributors Location link appears in the data grid header. This link opens the Authorized Distributors Location tab of the manufacturer's related part information, which shows information about suppliers. The Show Authorized Only/Show All toggle enables you to limit the distributor sources to just authorized distributors, or to all distributors listing this part in inventory.
Pricing and Availability Trends - charts that quantify and display price break data using pricing and availability trend charts, which enable you to determine average/best price, inventory, lead time, and authorized distributor information for the last 24 months. Click > or < to expand or collapse all charts. Hover your cursor over a chart element to display a tooltip with details about the underlying data point. Right-click a chart image to save it using the context menu.
Note that although administrators can prevent distributors from appearing in the Source column, data from distributors is included when calculating averages in the remaining columns. The default distributor view is set using Settings () > Search settings > Default Options.
