CPL Administration
BOM Intelligence users with Group Administrator permissions can configure labels for up to ten CPL attributes. Use CPL custom attributes, custom comments, and other attributes (cost, inventory, comments, quality, manufacturer part status, and datasheet information) to provide employees with specified part information.
These custom CPL attributes then appear in various places throughout BOM Intelligence including the View Single BOM: BOM Details tab, in the Manage Custom Layouts for BOM Details page, and in the report template builder.
The URL Attribute field allows you to add a hyper-link/URL. The text displays "Link" in the interface. When the cursor is hovered over the term Link, the full URL appears in a popup window. The URL attribute appears in all of the areas in BOM Intelligence mentioned above with the exception of the report template builder.
The default custom attribute labels are defined when the account group is set up and the CPL option is first enabled.

- In the left side menu, click Corporate Data, then select CPL Custom Attributes from the drop-down.
This menu item only appears if you have administrator rights. - Using the CPL Custom Attribute page, type the desired display label for an attribute, click the Enabled check box that appears to the right of that row, and then click Save Changes in the top-left of the page.

Users with Group Administrator permissions can set which CPL matching options appear in the Corporate Parts List (CPL) Match Options pane in the Import a Bill of Materials (BOM) File page when BOM Intelligence users import a BOM. Hiding invalid options simplifies the BOM Import process and ensures success.
- Using the left side menu, select CORPORATE DATA > Set BOM Import CPL Matching Options.
The Set BOM Import CPL Matching Options modal window appears.
- Select which mapping options will be visible to users, and whether each is selected by default.
Note: The last option on this list: "Match BOM Imported Mfr P/N and Imported Mfr Name to CPL Corporate Part Number and Corporate Name" is mutually exclusive of the other options. So if it is selected as default, no other options can be marked default. And, if one or more of the other three options is set to default, the forth option is not available.
Changing the Default option does not affect users' existing BOM settings.
Changes to the Allowed options affect both previous and future BOMs as well as CPL matching options saved to a configuration file.
If the Group Administrator clears an option that was previously available and has been used in a BOM Import Configuration, that association is preserved until the user tries to edit the configuration, at which point they must choose a configuration setting in line with the options set by the Admin.
- Click Save.
