Custom Layouts
Select, modify, or create custom layouts that define the fields and relative column order that appear in the results data grid.

- Using the Parts Search Results window, click Layout > Manage Layouts in the toolbar above the data grid.
The Manage Custom Part Search Results Layouts shade appears.
- Using the Select Custom Layout drop-down list, select Create New Custom Layout.
- Select fields in the Available Attributes pane on the left. Click the following controls that appear between the Available Attributes pane and the Selected Attributes pane:
- move individual or multiple items between the two panes. Shift+Click or Ctrl+Click for multiple selection.
- move all of the items from one pane to the other.
The Part Number and Mfr Name attributes are locked so that they cannot be removed from the Selected Attributes pane, though you can change their position using the Up and Down arrows described next.
To lock an attribute, select it in the Selected Attributes pane, and then click . Click the lock a second time to remove the lock from a selected attribute. Refer to the Lock button tooltip to determine whether your action will lock or unlock the attribute. You can only lock and unlock one attribute at a time. The attribute appears inside of the locked area at the top of the Selected Attributes pane. Certain columns such as Part Number and Mfr Name remain locked and cannot be removed.
- To the right of the Selected Attributes pane, click
and
to set the order in which the attribute columns appear in the data grid. (Shift+Click or Ctrl+Click to select multiple items, which can then be moved as a group). The order of locked attributes can also be changed within the locked attribute portion of the Selected Attributes pane. The order in which attributes appear in the Selected Attributes pane controls the order in which attribute columns appear in the parts search results data grid.
- Using the check box, which appears above the Available Attributes pane, select whether to share this custom layout with other BOM Intelligence users. This option is not available if you are viewing another BOM Intelligence users' custom layout; however, you can save another user's custom layout with a new name, and then select whether to share it.
- Using the Enter New Name field, type a name for the new custom layout, and then click Save New Custom Layout.

Layouts include both default layouts (Environmental, Import, Life Cycle, etc.), and custom layouts that either you or another BOM Intelligence user in your account group created using the Manage Layouts option available in the Layout menu, and has chosen to share with the group.
- With a parts search result displayed, click Layout in the toolbar above the results grid, followed by your desired layout. Following are the types of layouts you can choose from:
- Accuris Defined:
Default - high-level part and manufacturer information. Where your selected layout was a custom layout and it was subsequently deleted, Default is automatically applied as your selected layout;
Life Cycle - years to end of life, life cycle, last time buy, and manufacturer support information;
Environmental - EU/China RoHS, REACH, full material disclosure and conflict minerals data;
Combined - all columns from all Accuris-defined layouts; - My Layouts - Custom part search result layouts that you created, listed alphabetically.
- Shared Layouts - Custom part search result layouts created by another BOM Intelligence user in your account group, and shared with other BOM Intelligence users.

Use an existing layout as a starting point for a new one. Delete custom layouts you created to reduce the volume of items to manage.
- Using Parts Search Results window, click Layout > Manage Layouts in the toolbar above the data grid.
The Manage Custom Layouts for
- Using the Select Custom Layout drop-down list, select either type of layout:
- A default layout (Environmental, Life cycle, etc.) - these are the layouts that ship with BOM Intelligence, and they cannot be overwritten, however, you can select them to display their attributes, change the attributes included and the order in which they appear, and then save the layout using a new name.
- A custom or a shared layout - these layouts can be modified and saved with a new name, and if you are the layout creator, the original can be overwritten, or the custom layout can be deleted.
- Click the following that appear between the Available Attributes pane and the Selected Attributes pane:
- Select one or more items in the Selected Attributes pane (Shift+Click or Ctrl+Click for multiple selection), and then click

- Using the check box, which appears above the Available Attributes pane, select whether to share this custom layout with other BOM Intelligence users in your account group. This option is not available if you are viewing another BOM Intelligence users' custom layout; however, you can save another user's custom layout with a new name, and then select whether to share it.
Select either Save Changes, or Save As New.
The Save Changes option is only available for custom layouts you created, and after at least one item has been moved from the Available Attributes pane to the Selected Attributes pane, or the sort order of selected attributes has changed.
Using the Save As New option modal window, under the existing custom layout name, type the desired name for the new custom layout, and then click Save New Custom Layout.
Where the name of the custom layout already exists in BOM Intelligence, (2) (or the next incremental number) is appended to the file name. - Click Delete to remove the custom layout.
The Delete option is only available for custom layouts you created. You cannot delete default layouts, or custom layouts created by other BOM Intelligence users.
Click either Okay, delete selected layout to remove it, or click Cancel, do not delete.
