Administer custom attributes for
imported BOMs
Configure the label and whether a given BOM attribute appears in various views throughout BOM Intelligence, including the BOM Details view, and Advanced Reports. Define up to nine custom alphanumeric BOM attributes and a URL attribute.
The URL Attribute field enables you to specify a hyper-link that can be clicked in order to navigate to a web page using your native browser. The text displays "Link" in the interface. When the cursor is hovered over the term Link, the full URL appears in a popup window. The URL attribute appears in all of the areas in BOM Intelligence mentioned above with the exception of the report template builder.
Custom attributes created in BOM3 are also supported in BOM Intelligence.
- In the top-right of the BOM Intelligence page, click the settings icon
then under the subheading Account Settings click Custom Attributes.
Note: These menu items only appear if you have administrator rights.
- Type the desired labels for the default custom attribute fields, and then click the check box(es) to define whether the custom label appears in advanced reports, email alerts, BOM import column mapping options, and the BOM Details data grid.
Following are valid characters for display labels: A-Z, a-z, 0-9, space, #@$%():/\+-_?
Not all labels can be applied to reports, alerts, imports, or BOM details.
